Midway Contemporary Art is pleased to announced a summer group exhibition featuring fourteen artists from Interact Center for Visual and Performing Arts. This exhibition was co-organized by Midway and Interact and will take place in Midway’s Galleries 1, 2, 3, and 4.

“Dots and Loops (The Conjunction of Intuitive Visions Outside the Margins of the Inside Box” features artists David Bauman, Donovan Durham, Janice Essick, Nick Flaming, Peder Hagen, Paul Jagolino, Nancy Janes, Mike Kramer, Matt Ringwelski, Hadley Rosenberg, Richard Stolarik, Juanita Umbel, David Wright, and Matthew Zimdars.

The exhibition will provide a glimpse of the activities of Interact Center’s Visual Arts Program. Covering a wide range of media, the show will feature works on paper, paintings, ceramics, sculpture and books. For the past 16 years, Interact Center has been an innovator in celebrating diversity through the arts. Founded as a professional theatre company that includes actors with disabilities, in 1996 Interact Center expanded to include the visual arts.

Today, more than 100 visual and performing artists work at the center, located in downtown Minneapolis. Midway’s Director, John Rasmussen and Interact Center’s Visual Arts Program Director, Welles Emerson have selected work from fourteen of these remarkable artists.
