Description
Join us this Saturday, July 23 at 8:45pm for the final outdoor screening event for A Sponge Made of Mirrors. This special screening of Texas TYGAR will be accompanied by another complementary corresponding ice cream flavor courtesy of Fletcher’s Ice Cream!
Jonathon Rosemond and Wyatt Lasky, collectively named A Sponge Made of Mirrors, are a collaborative duo who make videos based on the sharing practices built into mixtape, playlist, podcast, and file sharing subcultures. “A Sponge Made of Mirrors” is a phrase that comes from producer Pharrell Williams’ description of being in the studio; they take it on as a reflection of how they function as artists and as filters. In the last year, Rosemond and Lasky have recorded conversations with artists and curators on the subject of genre, music, and process, and collected these materials into episodic mashups of conversation, curated music, and found footage.
